Detail Estate Villa Majapahit

Villa Keraton

In Javanese history, Keraton refers to a royal palace. Even today there are several well-functioning Keratons in existence, the most famous one being Keraton Yogyakarta. Comprised of a population of 25,000, Keraton Yogyakarta is home to the Sultan and boasts its own markets, shops, schools and mosques.

Paying homage to the existing royal Keraton, Villa Keraton is a self-sufficient palatial abode. Although smaller in size compared to the others, Villa Keraton is without a doubt the most exquisite and opulent of them all. Set back from the rest of the villas, the walls of the original wooden joglo have been replaced with transparent glass allowing for unfettered vista views across the entire estate.

The inside of the villa is ornately decorated with wood elements including a traditional carving from Toraja, located in South Sulawesi adorning the wall. The bathroom is guarded by two brass-statue flamingos and features a regal solid black granite bathtub from Bali. In front, a charming private space for his and her vanity areas features two stone wastafels sustained by a wooden table made from a single Javanese tree trunk. The bathroom walls and ceiling are covered with a lattice of antique Javanese-style flower carvings. And hiding behind this private bathroom, an alfresco shower area is also available, allowing guests to bath amidst lush frangipani trees with starry skies above.

Mirroring the original Keraton lifestyle, where all living matters are kept private behind the closed door, Villa Keraton offers the seclusion and comfort enjoyed by the royal family.
